Make-A-Maze allows one to draw mazes on the computer screen using mouse or the arrow keys. It allows several transformations of those mazes, and it also allows a person to solve mazes on the screen or have the computer find the solution. Mazes can be printed from the program, or they can be saved as files and then opened and printed from a word processor using the maze font included.
Make-A-Maze could be called MazeMaker-Lite because it is a scaled down version of MazeMaker. In MazeMaker not only can you make your own mazes, but you can let me draw a maze for you. I have given the computer detailed instructions on several ways to draw mazes, and you can specify the size, shape, and type of maze you would like to see. In addition, MazeMaker comes with 70 special maze typefaces allowing you to display mazes in about 200 different wild and wonderful ways.
MazeMaker is available on the CD-ROM entitled Font Pro Vol 3 published by Wayzata Technology. They are at PO Box 807 in Grand Rapids, MN 55744. Also on this CD (as you might guess from the name) is a collection of about 125 interesting typefaces which you will find nowhere else. (Phone: 218-326-0597 or 800-377-7321.) Also, there is a lot of duplication because both an old version of the package and a newere version were included.)
Maze-A-Maze is promoware. Because it is a form of advertising, it is free to the user. Its purpose is to let you know of the existence of MazeMaker and tell you how to obtain it. Make-A-Maze is copyrighted 1993 by Robert Schenk, and is not in the public domain. However, it may be freely distributed provided no changes are made to it and that all the files in this distribution (program, sample mazes, demo font, and this read me file) are included with it.
If you find making your own mazes too difficult, you might want to examine and solve the 15-20 sample mazes included with this program. All were created with MazeMaker 3.3, the current version of MazeMaker. (All are fairly small. MazeMaker can create huge mazes which take hours to solve.)
Maze-A-Maze is intended to replace MazeMaker .90, MazeMaker .99, and MazeMaker 3.0 demo, all of which have been previously released as promoware.
I am no longer selling software directly. The only way to get a copy of MazeMaker 3.3 is by buying the CD mentioned above. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes, but I have decided the time and effort needed to print up documentation, duplicate disks, package, and mail is not worth the few hundred dollars per year I have made from selling various programs. I would rather spend my time in development and leave distribution to those who do it well.

P.P.S. If you need typefaces, also consider my Font Pro Vol 2, Types of Distinction, also from Wayzata. It has 150 interesting and original typefaces, and it is very reasonably priced. However, it does not have any copy of MazeMaker on it.
